The Untold

My first climb was telomoyo mount about 1900 mdpl. It was pretty small, wasnt it? That was the main reason, why taufiq was assured we could pass this. The team was taufiq, hanif, usnong, uma, lolita, tiara, and me. 4/7 were the newbie.

When the idea came up, i had no reason to object it. So my plan was bringing up my parents' permit as the issue. But unfortunately, they came into line, since they thought it would be better for me to have an outdoor activity on my holidays (CRY CRY CRY HAHAHAHAHAHA). I guess the universe conspired helping me to move my body and not get rotten at home.

Shortly, d-day came. My first hindrance was i got period. First day of periods, in the middle of re packing activity. My courage wavered, then. Luckily i had my best team who always be in my ups and downs (LKS, LDK, one year struggle), literally. They convinced me that wont be an issue. So, lets get started!!!

I'm pretty sure that Repacking your backpack is the most important thing to do when we hike with team. to make sure that every person have brought either their personal needs and team needs.

Shortly, we went to Salatiga by motorcycle when the second hindrance showed up. Heavy rain screwed up the trip, fortunately taufiq already told us to use giant plastic bag inside our carrier to keep our things save and dry (although our carrier is already water resistant).

Shortly, we arrived at the first entrance. But dont expect we will see 'that-common-public-place-entrance' like we used to see, because Telomoyo track just opened 3 months before we did this climbing, so the entrance look more like indigenous inhabitants houses than an public place entrance. why i could call it as an entrance, its because we paid the retribution and we parked our motorcycle there. It was just 7000rp if i am not mistaken.

We started to climb at 6 pm so they could prayed before starting to climb. So my first experience was climbing the mountain at night. It was common because people tend to catch sunrise moment. I dont really remember how long it took to get to the camping site, maybe around 4-5 hours. We directly built the tent so we could take a rest as soon as possible. As newbie, i always referred my climbing experience to what were there in 5 cm movie. So, what i expect about camping site was a spacious area with many natural resources (like water or trees) surround it. And that was wrong :" i was not assured if that was the real camping site or there is no certain place we could named as a camping site (since its just opened).

Some mountain have remarkable sunrise scenery, and the rest are not (we wont ever get typical sunrise picture since the mountain face to the opposite site where the sun rises). This mount is the second type. So we decided to get to the summit after we had our breakfast.

THIS PART WAS THE BEST!!!!

I was being skeptical :) I never imagined that reaching the summit will be this hard, i thought '5cm' was exaggerating. Maybe i didnt find any rocky mountain like what i saw in '5 cm', but precipitous mountain was real.LOL. trek yang cuma muat satu langkah doang

Mu summit experience is not really like what i had expected. But i guess the best thing is not the result, isnt it?

One of the most remarkable things was having fun at the tent. We could cook and have a lil chit chat since it was our first moment to catch up after months. Climbing is really a thing!! I am sure i have to do it many more times.

Ini akan menjadi cerita farewell PKPA paling menarik, terlepas dari materi apa yang diperoleh, di tempat ini, i got best team ever indeed!

Shortly, kita kumpul didaerah deket kampus untuk final recheck carrier masing masing (termasuk memastikan bahwa semua harus sudah membawa perlengkapan pribadi dan perlengkapan kelompok yang menjadi tanggung jawabnyaa)

Bubur is lyfe

Papandayan termasuk gunung yang sangat ramah untuk pendaki pemula berbagai usia, karena fasilitasnya yang luar biasa lengkap. Di beberapa km awal, aku sudah bertemu dengan sekelompok pendaki yang ku yakini adalah keluarga ( 3 anak dibawah 12 tahun, ibu, dan ayah). Mungkin si adik paling bungsu (sekitar kelas 1-2 SD) sudah terbiasa melakukan aktivitas fisik seperti lari atau berjalan jauh atau olahraga kardio lainnya sehingga terlihat tidak mengeluh saat mendaki, pikirku dalam hati. Namun ternyata beberapa km kemudiaan, ditengah ujan rintik kecil, terlihat seorang ibu mu sedang mendaki dengan menggendong anaknya yang masih bayi. Luar biasa, aku kagum. Di perjalanan, aku semakin yakin camping site papandayan tidak akan gagal.

Nah camping site papandayan bener bener seperti apa yang aku bayangkan. spacious area dengan sumber air, sumber makanan, dan sumber sumber lainnya. Anyway, sumber makanan referred to warung warung mie, cuangki, dan makanan hangat lainnya. Jadi kalo banyak orang bilang ke papandayan yang penting bawa uang dan hidup bakal terjamin, maka itu adalah benar adanya hahahahahaha. Sumber air disini tersedia sudah dalam bentuk pipa pipa air didekat kamar mandi. Alhamdulillah, udah g ada cerita harus buang air di balik batu dan harus ambil air yang jaraknya lumayan jauh dari danau terdekat dari camping site seperti cerita di Telomoyo sewaktu itu :")

Lagi lagi papandayan bukan termasuk gunung yang terkenal dengan mesmerizing sunrise view nya, jadi emang sedikit susah cari tempat untuk berburu foto pemandangan sunrise :") Yah maksimumnya cuma foto diatas

Hammock is a thing!

Duduk duduk di hammock sambil liat pemandangan gunung dengan lapang penuh bunga edelweis adalah salah satu definisi chilling yang baru aku temukan. Kalau aku bisa simpan tangkapan lensa mata ku mungkin akan sangat menyenangkan untuk memutarnya kembali, namun ternyata tidak ada yang dapat menyaingi ketajaman pengelihatan mata manusia termasuk iphone keluaran terbaru :") (aku udah coba rekam tapi tetep ga puas)

At least ketika lihat foto diatas, a glimpse of memory pegunungan itu terputar secara otomatis didalam ingatanku <3 br="" nbsp="">

Di papandayan ga cuma bisa lihat pepohonan lebat khas pegunungan, tapi juga bisa ketemu babi hutan dan anjing gunung yang berkejar kejaran untuk saling memangsa. Sepanjang malam kami benar benar harus waspada terhadap adanya babi hutan yang sangat mudah mengendus keberadaan sisa sisa makanan para pendaki, jadi sejak senja mulai turun, para petugas keamanan sudah mulai mewanti wanti untuk menggantung makanan dipohon dengan minimal ketinggian tertentu agar babi sulit untuk meraihnya.

Selain hewan hewan liar, pepohonan hijau, dan pegunungan kapur maka kita juga bisa menemukan hutan mati yang instagramable abeezzz

Jangan lupa bawa jas ujan

Nah jas hujan nih bener bener esensial, waktu naik maupun turun kebetulan hujan :") Lebih enak memang menggunakan jas hujan yang seperti baju sepasang itu, tapi buat memakainya memerlukan waktu lebih, dan tidak melindungi carrier sehingga carrier harus dipastikan punya coat sendiri. Kalo kepepet lupa bawa coat buat tas, pakailah trash bag yang kalian bawa. Kalau trash bag juga ga bawa mending balik aja deh daripada meninggalkan sampah di puncak hahahahaha kidding!

Naik gunung emang seru, dan sekarang bucket list nambah: naik gunung sama my future family dong!
